To me it doesn’t seem a smart idea but I don’t have anything against it. I guess younger generations will use it in the future, if it really will be produced.
So, instead of wasting time crying about the death of surfing, I have these practical questions in my mind:
1 – How can you read the screen if you cover it in wax?
2 – If you can place a screen on a surfboard, can someone PLEASE place a non-slip thing so that we can say goodbye to wax?
3 – Given that you can’t see the wax, is there any chance that that surfboard already has an non-slip deck? If so, can we please skip the sms part and GET THAT DECK?
(oh, yes.. surfboards makers don't have the tecnology, the scientific knowledge and the will to change how boards are made. And surfers don't like anything different from 1950 techonolgy for their boards.)

A me non causa nessuna perdita di sonno o serenita’.
Penso che:
1 – E’ solo un prototipo/ pubblicità
2- Ci sarà sicuramente chi, più giovane di noi, non ci vedrà nulla di strano (se mai diventasse available - C'erano quelli che professavano, e professano ancora il surf senza leash, per dire)
3 - Se ci metti la cera poi come cazzo fai a leggere?
4 - Ma se si può mettere uno schermo sul deck di una tavola, perché non si mette qualcosa antiscivolo così che si possa dire addio alla cera?
5 - Ma non è che quel deck è antiscivolo, visto che la cera non si vede? Se fosse così, cosa si sta aspettando a RENDERLO DISPONIBILE, invece di propinarci SMS in acqua??
(ah si.. chi fa le tavole in genere non ha la tecnologia, la conoscenza scientifica e la voglia di fare le tavole in modo diverso. E d'altronde i serfisti vogliono le tavole fatte come negli anni '50..)
Haha. I did think that too. But I'm a longboarder to whom shortboards are a total mystery - how do you even float on one! So the wax thing, I accepted as un-necessary. But I do agree :)
