A great start

Happy 2019!

I managed to put together a few sessions during the Christmas period and I'm happy. I hope you did too. 

Unfortunately Noosa came alive when I went back to work so I only managed 1 session there on Saturday in the late arvo.

Waves were shoulder high with the usual Noosa orgasmic shape.

I got my noserider 1 year ago and believe it or not this was the first time I used it in such quality waves.

I got a blast.

I managed to walk on it and to turn it around with ease, while for the first time this board got some speed and gave me confidence. I can still see some waves printed tattooed in my brain!

I also confirmed that I need 4 steps to be on the nose, but it's tricky to take the last 2 when on a steep and fast wall. Also at National Park surfing into Little Cove you need a few cutbacks to stay in the pocket, and it's very tricky to managed it when your feet are so far forward! So much fun.

I also shared to Ocean with Tom Wegener and his son surfing finless on their Alaia surfboard, plus Kirra Molnar who was doing some serious nose riding just beside me.

Buon 2019!

Spero siate riusciti a surfare durante la pausa natalizia, perche' io ci son riuscito piu' volte e sono molto felice.

Purtroppo Noosa (questo posto magico che amo, sempre affollatissimo, ma ancora e sempre speciale, bellissimo e capace di regalare emozioni) si 'e svegliata quando io ho ripreso a lavorare. Dunque mi sono accontentato di una sola sessione nel tardo pomeriggio di sabato. 

Ma che sessione!

Le onde erano ad altezza spalla con un periodo di circa 10 secondi e la solita orgasmica perfezione.

Stento a crederci ma pur possedendo il noserider da un anno, e' stata la prima volta che lo ho usato a Noosa in queste condizioni! E che goduria! Finalmente la tavola l'ho sentita viva, veloce sulle pareti, stabile, e ci ho camminato e fatto carvate che godevo. 

Ho appurato che mi occorrono 4 passi per arrivare sul naso. E gli ultimi due sono particolarmente intimidanti quando vai veloce e sotto c'e' il vuoto. Anche tornare indietro per un cutback a quel punto non e' uno scherzo. Ma che bello pero! 

Ho delle onde stampate con inchiostro indelebile nella mia corteccia cerebrale!

Ciliegina sulla torta, ho diviso il mare con Tom Wegener e suo figlio che spinnava finless sull' Alaia, ma ancor piu' bello e' stato aver vicino Kirra Molnar che sparava degli hang 5 da paura.
