Pros, go away

So this week there's the Noosa Surf Festival on one side, and the Quicksilver Pro at the other end.
The 2 best spots are taken.
Add the effects of the short lived cyclone Linda on the open beaches in between those two locations (big swell, erosion, strong current, strong winds, beaches closed everywhere), and you get the picture of how frustrating this period has been.

Honestly, I don't enjoy those events. They just maximize the crowd problem everywhere. And I only care about surfing. I want to be the one surfing. I don't care watching the others.

The pros should be able to wrap up the contest today. Thanks the lord.
I hope Saturday will give me some joy!

Vedo sui social media gente eccitata ed entusiasta per via del world tour che riprende in Gold Coast.
Per me e' da sempre (da quando surfo si intende) una grandissima rottura di palle.
Le onde migliori occupate da gente che surfa tutta la vita, tutti i giorni, le onde migliori.
Poi quest'anno le date si sono accavallate con l'altrettanto snervante Noosa Surf Festival, a nord. Aggiungete gli effetti del declassato ciclone Linda, che ha reso quasi insurfabili tutte le spiagge nel mezzo alle due localita' impegnate coi contests, ed ecco dieci giorni pieni durante i quali io non ho speranza di combinare una mazza. Nonostante le belle onde!

Non so cosa ci sia di eccitante all'idea di vedere questi surfisti elitari fare i loro comodi a tuo discapito.
Per me Marzo e' sempre sinonimo di rotture di palle.
Vedo gente brava, in acqua con me, continuamente. Gente che mi fa sempre sentire un passo (o due, o tre) indietro. Non ho nessuna voglia di stare a guardare dalla spiaggia altra gente che surfa al posto mio.
Io voglio essere quello in acqua.

I pro dovebbero concludere oggi. Spero che si tolgano dalle palle in tempo per potermi divertire questo sabato.
