They post a lot of old pictures of Coolangatta, some very valuable I believe.
I think this one is worth to share here too.
It's Greenmounth and Kirra viewed from Snapper Rock, 1903!
I'm in love with it because there's no human signs and I think it looks like as it always had for thousands of years.
Can you imagine make your way through the bush to reach such a beautiful spot with perfect waves rolling in?
Or coming by boat with J.Cook and say: "Captain! perfect rights ahead! out the surfboards!"
I'm joking but I really think about how great it must have been to be there alone..
Look how wild it was!

Seguo un gruppo su Fb che si chiama Coolangatta Community of the 50's, 60's & 70's e che posta vecchie foto della zona, raccolte o donate dalla gente del posto. A parte il fatto che e' una bellissima iniziativa, credo che alcune foto abbiamo anche un valore storico non indifferente.
In ogni caso questa qua e' una foto scattata nel 1903 da Snapper Rocks, verso Greenounth e Kirra.
La trovo fantastica perche' non c'e' traccia dell'uomo (nella foto dico) e mi fa sognare di un tempo perduto..
Immaginatevi farvi strada tra la vegetazione per poi sbucare in un posto cosi' bello, con onde perfette che rotolano in solitudine.
O arrivare su un vascello in esplorazione ed urlare: "Destre perfette a dritta! Fuori le tavole!"
Fantastico..
Poi guardo quella roccia in mezzo all'acqua e mi sembra incredibile che piu' di cento anni dopo io ci abbia spesso serfato intorno, con l'alta marea.
Quella roccia e' li dalla notte dei tempi, e li stara' per chissa' quanto ancora.
